How your data is handled

The whole of it, in plain words — what we hold, why, and the two buttons that make it yours.

Last updated 2026-07-25 — DRAFT, pre-launch.

What we hold

Your account: email, the display name you chose, timezone, theme choice.

What you told us in intake or your guide profile: your practice, your goals, your tools. You wrote it; you can see all of it in your export.

The record of what happened: bookings, session confirmations, reviews, messages, payment records. This is the working memory of Starcamp — it is what makes a guide's standing real.

What we deliberately do not hold

Your sessions. They happen on your guide's chosen tool, between the two of you — no recording, no transcription, no AI sitting in. Not built, not planned.

Your money, in the current mode: you and your guide settle payment directly. We record that a payment was arranged and confirmed — the money itself never passes through us.

Tracking beyond function: our cookies keep you signed in, guard forms, and remember your theme. That is the list.

The permanent record, honestly

Every meaningful action lands in an append-only ledger — that permanence is what makes the record trustworthy. The ledger never stores your email address; where an address matters it stores a one-way fingerprint instead.

When your identity is erased, the record keeps only an anonymized reference: what happened stays true, who it was about is gone.

Your two buttons

Export: download everything your account holds as one JSON file, any time, from Settings.

Closure: close your account from Settings — it takes effect immediately, and after the grace window your personal details are erased for good. Change your mind inside the window and a human reopens it.
